The course concerns both the fundamentals and applications of computational Multiscale Modeling. We discuss molecular and mesoscopic dynamical models, Monte Carlo methods, and statistical thermodynamic approaches. Applications focus on various aspects of designing 'clever' self-assembly structures for drug-delivery, such as nanogels and lipid vesicles. These are complex chemical systems that are studied experimentally in the same group.
